Teodor Nicola Antoniu, Data Engineer & AI Scientist w AWSTeodor moved to the United States in 2015 to pursue higher education in what he considers the best education system in the world. He earned a double major in Computer Science and Mathematics, along with a minor in Economics. During his studies, he interned in Silicon Valley, where he experienced firsthand the power of innovation and technology as positive forces for change. Graduating at the top of his Computer Science class, he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, the most prestigious honor society in the U.S. .

After graduation, he worked in financial services as a quantitative developer for a trading desk and later managed an electronic trading platform, leading a team of seven developers. Driven by his passion for artificial intelligence, he returned to graduate school at MIT, where he obtained dual graduate degrees: a Master’s in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with a focus on AI, and an MBA. In the spring of 2024, he joined Amazon AWS as an AI scientist.

Believing that AI will become an integral part of society’s fabric, more present in our lives than the internet, he is committed to deeply understanding the technology, driving innovation, and ensuring it contributes to a better standard of living that is equitable for everyone. Grateful to have joined the spectacularly beautiful community of Bellevue, he aspires to be a productive member who gives back significantly more than he takes.
