Ways to Give

Planned giving is a powerful way to create a lasting legacy. You might consider a gift to honor a birth, marriage, anniversary, retirement, or memory of a loved one.

There are many ways to give.

Give Today. Gifts can be made by check, credit card, or donations of marketable securities.

Qualified Charitable Distribution. If you’re over 70½, there may be tax advantages to making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA (for more information on QCDs click here and consult your tax advisor).

Donor Advised Fund. Consider donating to the Bellevue Rotary Legacy Fund from your donor-advised fund.

Charitable Trusts. You can make gifts that may result in a tax deduction and may pay you income. Examples include charitable lead and charitable remainder trusts. If a charitable vehicle like this is of interest, we will direct you to tax/legal resources to explore these options further.

Bequests. You can make gifts that benefit the Bellevue Rotary Legacy Fund in the future such as bequests through your will, trust planning, or beneficiary designations in your retirement plan, annuity, or life insurance.

The choice of how to give is personal. Tax implications and giving are different for everyone. The Bellevue Rotary Foundation can assist you and your professional advisors in discussing your giving objectives and how it can help meet your goals.

There are two ways to become a Circle member:

2. Make a direct contribution at any time to the Bellevue Rotary Legacy Fund.  The minimum amount to join the Circle is through a direct donation is $5,000.  Payment may be made in full or by a pledge of equal installment payments over a period of five years or less.  Direct donations can be made by check, credit card, donations of marketable securities, a Qualified Charitable Distribution from your IRA, or through a donor-advised fund grant.

February is Legacy Awareness month and we will list all Bellevue Rotarians who have joined the Bellevue Rotary Circle in the Bulletin and provide stickers for their badges.

At our annual fundraising event and at our President’s Year-End Dinner, we will list all Bellevue Rotary Circle members in the program brochure.
