Bellevue Rotary Committees

Our committees offer countless opportunities to serve through Rotary International’s Five Avenues of Service: Community Service, International Service, New Generations Service, Vocational Service, and Club Service.

Service Committees

Community Grants

The Community Grants Committee establishes and implements a process for grant proposals and the disbursement of funds to benefit service organizations in the Bellevue/Eastside community.

World Community Service

The World Community Service Committee studies, evaluates, and funds international projects that aim to make a lasting impact on communities, particularly in developing areas.

Harvest Against Hunger

The Harvest Against Hunger Committee promotes and coordinates club members’ participation in the District 5030 Rotary First Harvest project.

Service to Mature Adults

The Service to Mature Adults Committee coordinates programs and projects that specifically focus on serving and supporting members of the senior community.

Environmental Sustainability

The Environmental Sustainability Committee promotes and implements sustainable practices within Rotary clubs and communities, raising awareness about environmental issues and inspiring action for a more sustainable future.

Ice Cream Sales

The Ice Cream Sales Committee plans and implements the club’s ice cream sale at the Bellevue Arts Fair, which takes place at Bellevue Square during the last weekend in July.

Fundraising, Gala

The Fundraising Gala Committee plans, organizes, and executes a major fundraising gala event for the Bellevue Rotary club. This committee plays a crucial role in generating funds to support the club’s charitable initiatives, community projects, and service activities.

Fundraising, General

The General Fundraising Committee plans and organizes a range of fundraising activities and events for the Rotary club.

Foundation

This committee educates club members about the purpose and goals of the Rotary International Foundation, implements a club fundraising program, and recognizes contributors to the program, including Paul Harris Fellows.

Legacy Fund

The Legacy Fund Committee develops and promotes an endowment program for Bellevue Rotary so that we can sustain and expand our local and international service.

New Generations Committees

Camp Goodtimes

The Camp Goodtimes Committee plans, promotes, and implements the annual Camp Goodtimes Carnival at Camp Burton on Vashon Island.

Rotoract/Interact

The Rotaract/Interact Committee supports, guides, and mentors the sponsored Rotaract and Interact Clubs.

Partners for Work

Partners for Work is dedicated to planning and supporting the entry of differently abled individuals into the workforce, promoting employment opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Mentor

The Mentor Committee connects experienced professionals with high school and college students to provide mentorship in business skills and development.

Rotary Youth Exchange / Youth Scholarship / RYLA

This committee facilitates various youth-focused programs within the Rotary club encompassing three key areas: youth exchange programs, youth scholarships, and the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) conference.

Youth & Family Services

This committee organizes and conducts an annual party that serves as a platform to introduce potential adoptive parents with children in a fun and relaxed environment. It also supports math tutoring at several schools.

Vocational Committees

Veterans

This committee is dedicated to supporting and honoring veterans within the Rotary club and the wider community.

Business Networking

This committee creates and facilitates opportunities for business-based networking among Rotarians within the club.

Club Service Committees

Program

The Program Committee arranges speakers for Rotary club meetings, ensures that the presentations are interesting, informative, and entertaining.

The Greeters Committee creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere at weekly Rotary meetings.

Moment of Reflection

The Moment of Reflection Committee organizes Rotarians to provide inclusive inspirational messages at Rotary club meetings.

Facilities

The Facilities Committee coordinates aspects related to the facilities and arrangements for each weekly gathering of the club.

Finance

The Finance Committee advises the Treasurer and the Board of the Rotary club on financial policies and operations.

Membership

The Membership Committee actively recruits new members and ensures the integrity and eligibility of potential candidates.

Red Badge/Blue Badge

The Red Badge/Blue Badge Committee supports and guides new members of the club as they transition from the Red Badge (new member) stage to the Blue Badge (full member) stage.

President’s Annual Celebration Dinner

This committee plans, organizes, and executes the Rotary club’s annual celebration dinner in honor of the club president (also known as the promo/demo dinner).

Public Relations/Communications

The Public Relations / Communications Committee shapes and maintains the public presence of the club and ensures its recognition in the media.

Attendance

The Attendance Committee oversees the accurate tracking of member attendance at meetings and events.

Bylaws

The Bylaws Committee reviews the current bylaws of the Club and makes recommendations to the Board regarding necessary changes or updates.

Historian

The Historian Committee preserves the history and legacy of a Rotary club.

Fellowship

The Fellowship Committee plans and organizes a range of events that promote fellowship among club members and their families outside of regular club meetings.

Book Club

The Book Club provides a platform for Rotary club members to engage in intellectual and cultural discussions through reading and discussing books.

Technology/AV Committee

This committee manages the technological and audiovisual needs of the Rotary club in support of both in-person and remote attendance at our live meetings.

Website

This committee develops strategy, manages, and implements the club’s website.
