Mr. Joe is currently the President of Evergreen Beauty College. At Evergreen Beauty College, Joe’s purpose is to create a supportive environment where an individual can discover their self-worth, dignity and hope for their future. With this mission, Evergreen Beauty College has been recognized as one of the Top Places To Work for 8 years in a row with the most recent honor in INC Magazine.
Under Joe’s leadership along with his sister and 2 brothers, they have taken his parents’ business from 6 employees to now the largest beauty school group in Washington State with 7 college campuses and nearly 1500 active students each year. Harvard Business Review has a published case study that followed the Trieu family business for 2 ½ years.
Since 2010 as president, Mr. Joe has led Evergreen to its first National competition, over 15 International top 3 finishes in the Business Student of the Year Competition, recognized in Modern Salon Magazine, as well as Family Business of the Year by Seattle Business Magazine. His focus was Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington. Mr. Joe has received the Outstanding Performance Award, Human Relations Award & the Highest Award for Achievement from the Dale Carnegie Center of Excellence. He was recognized in the Puget Sound Business Journal as a recipient of “40 under 40” as one of the top 40 business leaders under the age of 40.
In addition to his role at Evergreen, Joe is the Vistage Chair where he facilitates about 15 local CEO & Business Owners of non-competing industries to meet each month to discuss their most pressing issues, challenges and opportunities so that they can become better leaders and make better business decisions. He serves as an advisory board member at Seattle University Family Business Institute as well as C3 Business Leaders.
Joe is married to his wife Tami and has 5 kids.
