From Tech to Wine, Pivoting with Purpose

Jamila Conley
Jamila Conley is a dynamic executive with over 25 years of experience aligning people, operations, and execution with corporate strategy. She is currently the CEO & Founder of WeRise Wines which is a mission based business focused on driving access and awareness to diverse wineries and winemakers. Jamila recently left the tech world where she held leadership roles spanning Talent Acquisition, M&A integration, business transformation, and IT strategic solutioning. She brings extensive experience in refining complex business processes and executing large-scale transformative initiatives. Jamila holds a CPA license, an MBA in Management Information Systems, and a Certification as an Information Security Auditor.
Jamila is a Board Trustee of the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and also serves on the Board of Technology Access Foundation which is working to bridge the equity gap in education and introduces students of color to STEM. In addition to Board service, Jamila is an IWF Fellow Alumnus through which she has completed executive education programs at INSEAD and Harvard Business School focused on women’s leadership in the C-suite.
As an active advocate for Women and people of color, Jamila founded the first DEI affinity group for IWF-WA chapter, she co-authored the IWF-WA Mentoring Playbook, and she has been a guest speaker for several forums and panels addressing D&I topics.
