Tim, the Seattle Aquarium’s Senior Director of Public Relations and Strategic Partnerships, has a depth of business experience that makes him uniquely suited for his role. After graduating from the University of Washington with a B.A. in communications, he launched his career in marketing and promotions for the Downtown Seattle Association.
His relationship with the Seattle Aquarium began when he formed a special-event consulting firm, Rain City Event Marketing, through which he produced events for the Aquarium and other clients. Tim joined the Aquarium staff full time in 2000 and has worked in close partnership with the marketing and creative team on all our annual advertising campaigns.
Tim’s role has shifted in 2019 to focus primarily on media, tourism and strategic partnerships as we ramp up to the new Ocean Pavilion. Tim lives in Shoreline with his wife Holly, son Tyler (attending Western Washington University) and cares for his senior father Richard in a multi-generational household.
