Great News. We are resuming Harvest Against Hunger Work Parties, but in a slightly different form.
Instead of going to the Northwest Harvest Warehouse to pack food, we will go to Elk Run Farm, a foodbank farm, to help grow food. Our first work party is Thursday May 27th from 10:00 to 12:30. We will be either planting, doing bed preparation, weeding, or building trellises or probably some of all four. Masks are required and we will engage in social distancing. Being outdoors will be quite safe.
Elk Run Farm is located at 27625 228th Ave SE, Maple Valley, WA 98038. Bring a mask, hat, sun screen, gloves, water, etc. (No donuts or snack will be provided unfortunately. But you can bring your own.)
This will be a great opportunity to see our fellow Rotarians and their families in person. Not quite like our resumed Thirsty Thursday, but just as much fun. 😊
Please email Stan at [email protected] if you plan to attend so we can give the farm a count of our group.
