Executive Director of Friends of Waterfront Seattle

Thatcher Bailey grew up in Seattle and has helped lead an array of civic organizations and campaigns supporting the arts, public health, social services, and public spaces across the city and region. Most recently—after 10 years as CEO of Seattle Parks Foundation—Thatcher stepped in as Interim Executive Director of Friends of Waterfront Seattle. He describes Waterfront Park as “our city’s most transformative public project since the creation of Seattle Center to host the 1962 World’s Fair.”
